For many years, the Ultra Music Fest has held the crown inside the United States for being the top live electronic dance music festival. UMF has remained an event representing just about every genre and version of EDM you can think of. This past weekend, the early Spring hotbed of sweat-inducing electro ecstasy has continued to transform Miami into a top-tier DJ haven.

Aside from the 2018 Ultra Music Fest, The Chainsmokers are no strangers to the Miami music scene, having played several shows in the southern capital of sultry sunshine. They were previously welcomed to UMF in 2016. During this trek to the Miami Music Week landmark, The Chainsmokers performed during the Saturday slot in the Worldwide section. This 2016 Ultra Music Fest was a huge boost to the boisterous rise of The Chainsmokers that year. They shared this 2016 festival schedule with DJ Snake, Armin van Buuren, Kaskade, Blasterjaxx, The Prodigy, Afrojack, David Guetta, and the Rabbit in the Moon live reunion.
The Chainsmokers have also rocked the perspiration out of hot Miami music freaks during their 2017 Memories Do Not Open Tour. They actually set off the entire globe-spin cycle of that tour in Miami on April 13, 2017, at the American Airlines Arena. As The Chainsmokers continue to fill large arenas and explode with more pop music smashes, the 2018 Ultra Music Fest proved that they still have never forgotten their electronic dance music supporters.
